Appendix C: TLP Use Cases

The following chart may be helpful in determining how you may share information that you receive with TLP markings. In all cases, if you and others are co-recipients of the same TLP-marked information, you may discuss and share that information with one another regardless of the TLP marking.

		You may share  TLP:green  information, under the following conditions: When "community" is not defined, recipients should assume they share  TLP:green  information with the Member Plus Community. Originators concerned that recipients may share their  TLP:green  information further than indended should add a caveheat that defines the community for the information, for example Tournament Hosts, VStars etc.
		You may share  TLP:amber  information with other Member Pluses that have a need to know the information. When you do so, you should mark it  TLP:amber+strict  to ensure, that the recipients do not further disseminate it to their constituents, as only you or your committe has been authorized to do that by the originator. Example: You assist a non-Level 4 Member Plus who has no access to the global Mute / Boot list by providing ban reason and expiry date of a player, that is asking in HR when his boot will expire.
		You may NOT share  TLP:amber+strict  information with other Member Pluses without permissions. If further sharing is desired, contact the originator to request permission to share with other orgnizations (e. g. committees). Note: You may use this information to help other committees without disclosing the information. Example: You got a list with smurf accounts for a running tournament on Voobly. You may use this information to protect or assist Hosts without sharing the information to them.
		You may not share  TLP:red  information.

		You may share  TLP:green  information with recipients who are part of the community as defined by the caveheat: When community is not defined, recipients should assume they may share  TLP:green  information with Hosts. Originators concerned that recipients may share their  TLP:green  information further than intended should add a caveheat that defines the community for the information (e. g. Member Plus only).
		You may NOT share  TLP:amber  information with Hosts without obtaining permission from the originator. Note: You may use this information to protect or assist Hosts without sharing the information to them.
		You may NOT share  TLP:amber+strict  information with Hosts without obtaining permission from the original. Note: TLP assumes the originator and recipient have agreed to protect information.
		You may NOT share  TLP:red  information.
